Here is a link to my blog post listing the artists slated to appear along with Andy at his 7th annual Andy Kim Christmas Show, which is just a couple of days away on December 14, 2011! The post also includes ticket info and a few videos of Mr. Kim. :)
Andy I want to take this time to thank you for helping abused women and children ..I know that probable 9 out of 10 people if ask would say "If she is stupid enough to stay in this situation then she deserves it ..Well until you walk in that person shoes you do not know how it feels to be beat down ,to feel that you are worth NOTHING ..So it takes a long time to build your strength and courage to leave ...God bless all of them ..And thank you again Andy for helping and being that one out of the 10 ♥
Neia, I couldn't agree with you more. No woman or child deserves a life of fear, to be hurt and feel helpless. This year's charity was brilliant. The emotional and physical toll of abuse is devestating and to climb out of that deep, dark abys takes years. Your post made me think of when I was a nursing student. I was young and nervous going to my first hospital placement. I remember walking onto the 3rd floor and joining the others to listen in on the morning report. Across from me was a quiet nurse sitting with her head down. I recall at first thinking how pretty her hair was. Her shoulders were slouched as she looked down at the table. When report was done and we started to stand, she lifted her head. I looked at her face and felt shock, disbelief and so sick, as I looked at the largest, blue, purplish black eye that covered part of her cheek. She looked at me with the saddest eyes and I wanted to cry. I didn't know what to do or say, or how to help this lovely person. I found out through the day she had 2 small children at home under the age of 5 who lived through this nighmare of abuse on a regular basis. I'll never forget her and I pray she and her children escaped a life no one deserves. I know she is only one story of thousands upon thousands of women and children who desperately need a safe place to go. Thank you Andy for choosing this charity and $50,000.00 will go a long way to support Juliette's Place. A wonderful gift to those in need, and to make someone feel safe and smile at Christmas is the best gift of all. Love Di..
